Titan® Series roller chain integrates the latest advancements from U.S. Tsubaki’s research and development to increase the wear life of roller chains in high speed and harsh environments. This chain incorporates the best features of our standard ASME/ANSI chain coupled with new and unique features that will outperform competitors’ extended life chains. Titan® chain delivers the ultimate in strength and extended wear life.
Titan® Chain Construction:- Special Coated Pins
- Zinc Coated Pin Link Plates and Black Oxide Roller Link Plates
- Solid Lube Groove Bushing
- Ring Coined Connecting Links
U.S. Tsubaki’s Titan® chain has been developed for performance in tough environments that need rugged, reliable tools. Titan® chain, constructed with tougher, stronger materials and low-friction pins, offers superior high-speed performance over U.S. Tsubaki Premium ANSI roller chain. For your lumber, cement, rubber, or other harsh applications, Titan® Series Longer Life Roller Chain is the right choice for the job.
Titan® Chain ConstructionU.S. Tsubaki’s Titan® chains are specially designed for low-friction movement, even when handling heavy loads. The unique features that make up our roller chain's robust design include:
- Special Coated Pins
Titan® chain pins have a special coating that protects both the pins and the bushings from excessive wear. The coating imparts a smooth, low-friction surface to the pins and imbues them with extra hardness for protection from impact damage and wear. These specially-coated pins are an ideal solution for extreme environment applications, such as handling hard materials or working in settings with significant loose debris. They ensure excellent day-to-day performance and a longer lifespan for the chain.
- Zinc-Coated Pin Link Plates and Black Oxide-Coated Roller Link Plates
Our Titan® chain features treated link plates for long-term performance. The zinc coating and black oxide layer protect the metal pin and roller link plates from oxidation so corrosion won’t cause vulnerabilities or weak points in the chain over time. Operators can use Titan® chains in exterior environments or industrial settings with a high moisture level. Even between cleanings, moisture exposure won't corrode the surface of the chain.
- Solid Lube Groove Bushings
Our patented PerforMax™ solid lube groove bushings are used in Titan® chains for easy maintenance and long-lasting use and offered in sizes ranging from 80-140. Each bushing is made from a single piece of cold-formed steel so there are no seams or weak points. This process also guarantees the proper shaping of the bushing for reliable contact with pins. Each bushing features interior grooves that retain oil better than other designs, providing long-lasting lubrication and smooth performance, even in hard-to-lubricate environments.
- Ring Coined Connecting Links
We join every link using our patented ring-coining process. This helps the links resist fatigue and mechanical damage because the pitch holes are designed to respond to shock loads.
Titan® Chain AdvantagesThe aforementioned special features pay off in numerous ways. Titan® chains offer advantages such as:
- TOLERATING EXPOSURE TO HARDER MATERIALS. The custom engineered plating makes the various chain components resistant to damage from impacts and exposure to hard process materials and debris.
- LOW-FRICTION MOVEMENT. Each pin has a special coating to reduce friction and every piece of the roller chain is constructed to reduce environmental wear. This results in significantly fewer replacements or delays over chain life.
- LONGER SERVICE LIFE. Titan® chains can outlast the competition and our standard series chains in your most demanding applications.
One of our customers dramatically improved their manufacturing processes by replacing their carbon steel chains with our Titan® chains. The Titan® chains doubled the lifespan of the conveyance carbon steel chains used for their cast engine parts. The replacement also drastically increased performance by eliminating sudden stalls and lubrication problems from the carbon steel chains.
